recycling center part 2

YEAH!!!! We finished another project. I'm so happy to be mostly done with this one. We have everything put together and we're using it but we need to buy the hinges that make the doors not open all the way to the floor. Also we need to buy some new garbage cans that are taller and fit in here better. I love it! And now we have a little more counter space and don't have to take the garbage out as often if we get a bigger can.

We thought we'd use one side for the dog food so we don't have to keep it downstairs and have to go down to refill her bowl all the time. LOVE IT!

"D" said he wants to wait a little bit until we build another project...he wants a break. But I'm thinking I might try my hand at something without him since he doesn't want to build, but I still want to do something. :) I'm wondering about a console table for our dining room or a table for the kids downstairs or two bed side tables to go with our new bed or new coffee tables that are smaller and will fit in our living room better, or wait until she puts up plans for a picnic table and make one of those.
I can't decide!! Too many things I want to do. It's cheaper to make it but not free so I need to pace myself a little I'm sure. :)
Cost breakdown:
Wood: 45.95
Hinges: around $15 for 4 of them
Handles: I can't remember exactly but I think they were around $5-7 each.
Primer: left over from previous projects
Paint: left over from my bathroom painting (it's Behr paint "Frost")
So: that's a total of between $70-75 for a recycle center
Compare that to the Recycling console by Pottery Barn:
which retails for $400!!!
I can't believe how much it looks like it and how much we spent. I just love Ana and her site that helps everyday people build furniture we can't afford to buy. :)
