I put in a request to Ana at Knock-off Wood for a wooden garbage bin and she came back with these plans for a recycle center from Pottery Barn.

(was a nice picture here of "A" & "D" cutting the wood)
The kids and Lucky even came out to check out what we were doing in between having snowball fights and building snowmen outside. It was beautiful outside and a perfect day to be working in the garage.
We tried really hard to get our cuts straight. We decided that we probably shouldn't have started with the Stratton Bed from Pottery Barn as our first project because we see some flaws that we would have done differently if it wasn't our first project ever. lol
The frame starting to come together...
Here's the entire frame without the back (yes, it's upside down). You can see my binder with all of the projects I would love to do from Ana's blog printed out. In her plans she says to use MDF when painting and plywood for staining. Since we're painting our RC we chose MDF. My man has since decided that he hates MDF and is never going to work with it again. I'm not sure if he's completely serious, but he did mention that he's never broken a drill bit before and has broken 2 so far during this project. Oops!
The next day we finished up the frame and flipped it upright. Here's the entire thing without the doors. Those we are currently still building and I'll post the entire finished project later.
We had a really cute helper in the garage for a little while. :)
Both the kids wanted to help however they could and will definitely be helping down the road with future projects. It's so fun learning how to do the various projects and teaching our children in the process as well.
